My Bio :
Hi there! I am Anupama Choudary from Hyderabad, India. I am married to an actor and we have two beautiful kids, Saanvi (7) and Karishnu (5).
I am a trained Interior Designer and did my Masters in Business Administration from Chennai. I love being a stay-at-home mom and working from my home studio, Once Upon A Time.I make artist-edition scrapbooks and frames on order for local clients.
I am honored to be a Design Team member of Inkido/ Papercraft Scandinavia (Swedish Manufacturer), Scrap for Help (Challenge Blog), Scrap Around the World (Challenge Blog) and Berry71Bleu (American Etsy Store) in 2013.
I would describe my style as 'Artsy Grunge'. However, if my daughter wants a 'pretty' page, I make one :) You can see more of my work at Scrapbooks from India.

Thank you, Priya, for having me as a Guest Designer. I am honored and wish your craft store all the best.

This page features a vintage picture of my mom and her younger sister  from the mid-1950s.

I started with a Screen-printed 12x12 canvas paper from Prima and Faber-Castell Gelatos.
There is no right or wrong way to do this. All you have to do is to be spontaneous! Spritz water to blend with fingers.

Time to bring out your favourite stencils and apply modeling paste with a palette knife.

I chose to mask different spots on the background paper to balance the composition.
Use a paper-trimmer to cut strips of patterned papers. I chose scraps of Prima pps leftover from earlier projects.
Layer your strips and randomly-torn scraps of paper. I prefer using a strong liquid adhesive along with a stapler and metal brads to secure everything to the canvas paper.
I stamped on the pp with Inkido 'Frame' rubber-stamp and Prima 'Engraver" clear stamp in black with Ranger Archival inkpad.
I embellished the page with the following from Prima.
I matched the flowers to the Gelatos to build clusters on the page.
Finally, spray with Tattered Angels Glimmer-mist in Electric Blue & Black Magic. Distress the canvas to add character and adhere it to cardstock to prevent warping. Don't forget to add your TITLE!

Wow!! That would be a perfect inspiration for this months challenge theme - Textures. Thanks Anupama! We really loved it!and wish you many more success in your future endeavours

Thanks for joining us
Priya
