Create a Scene with Embossing folders and Stencils
This is Tanvi welcoming you once again.
Thank you to all those who have joined us in our current challenge - CREATE A SCENE & those who have not, I hope you do get motivated with our posts because there is still time to play along.
I have a very cute card to share today –
1.I started with a piece of white card stock & masked off a circle (the moon) & used distress inks – milled lavender, dusty concord, peeled paint, stormy sky, scattered straw, mustard seed, to create a background.
2. After which I took off the mask & used the Claudine Helmuth Studio TCW stencil – OUR TOWN, using my sponge daubers & black soot & walnutstain distress inks.
3. Do you like the 3D tree that I have used here? Well this is actually fussy cut from a white embossed CS (embossing folder- leafy tree trunk), colored with black soot again using the sponge dauber. Layered the tree over my BG using foam tape.
4. This created a perfect BG. The lone bird charm & the sentiment – WISHING YOU WERE HERE (Justrite stamp set - Grand sentiments) on this dreamy full moon night completed the scene.
5. Layered this scene on CS & there I have a card which says it all.
So dig into your stash, I am sure you will get some supplies to create your own scene!!
Thats it from me today but stay tuned for some exciting news on our blog soooooooooon.
